Shaw's School of Karate was established by Sensei Don Shaw in 1998. He teaches a martial art style based
upon the Okinawan art of Isshinryu. Emphasis is also placed upon basic Jujitsu, Aikido and ground fighting techniques. By exploring both Isshinryu karate and other styles, our students receive a balanced education in the martial arts.
Shaw's School of Karate teaches its students to develop the ability and confidence to cope with diverse situations
and put their skills into practice.
The School stresses self-discipline and respect for others, both in the practice of martial arts, and as a
principle of living. Our students are taught to become better practitioners of Karate, and to become better individuals.
